washed up in the tide,
forgot to move when the sun set.
it’s 10 degrees outside,
entire body’s soaking wet.
I cut my hand on glass,
I should have worn a glove,
but I’m allergic to latex
and love the sight of my own blood.
a bottle of absinthe, I spilled it on your synth,
put a shaker of pink salt in a bowl full of asphalt.
pinch me ‘til I wince, I haven’t seen a color since
my unsuccessful somersault,
somehow it’s all my fault.
say you hate the moon,
and I say you’re a liar,
but my brain is made of bricks
and my house is on fire.
say your dad is vermont
and that your mom’s from perth,
I’d love to stay but gotta split,
digging a hole through the earth.
a bottle of absinthe, I spilled it on your synth,
put a shaker of pink salt in a bowl full of asphalt.
pinch me til I wince, I haven’t seen a color since
my unsuccessful somersault,
somehow it’s all my fault.
break into the park,
climbing coasters after dark.
I’d look down but I’d be scared.
If the wood snaps, what’s there?
guess that it depends, a ferris wheel that never ends.
I’d look up, but it’s too tall.
if the wood snaps
will I fall?

At that time, I was discovering many kinds of Asian shoegaze, but I've never heard anything like this. Makes me think of Pasteboard, Supecar, and Midnight Pingpong a bit, and it's funny bc the first two I listen have blue album covers too. Lu
