in a wheat field, on a cloud
swallowed up by witching hour
moonless night converses and says
“the world’s so big
so please stop wondering
all the things you never said”
goldfish thoughts swimming in your head...
carnival or store bought,
they die in days and never talk.
Well, now I hear the same river twice, I feel deeply as to be reborn.
Smack-dab middle of a paradise, no one left to keep me warm.
so then I crab walk to the park,
i’m painting pictures in the dark.
but there’s couples hand in hand
and moonless night falls to the sand.
white wires line the sky,
can barely see ‘em but I don’t know why
my vision 20/20
so why’s everything look so funny?
at least I hear the same river twice and feel deeply, as to be reborn.
smacked out, middle of a paradise, no one left to keep me warm.
well now I can’t be
broken-hearted see
if I want to go outside
anymore
Well now I can’t be
any more happy
that the sun’s up,
and back to where it was.
